The firm has six members: Mr. Daniel K. Atwill and Mr. Richard L. Montgomery, Jr., the firm founders and partners; Alex L. Wulff, Henry T. Herschel and Amanda Sterchi Pope, firm associates; and Kristen Atwill Craver, Of Counsel.
Mr. Daniel Atwill earned his bachelor’s degree in 1969 and his J.D. in 1971 from the University of Missouri. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of Missouri in 1972. He is admitted to practice before the Missouri Supreme Court, U.S Court of Military Appeals, and the U.S Court of Appeals. Mr. Atwill is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, and the Defense Research Institute. He is also a member of the Boone County Bar Association, for which he served as president from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, Mr. Atwill served as an editor for the Workers’ Compensation Section of Missouri’s Lawyers Weekly from 1992 to 1998. He has served as Boone County Presiding Commissioner (2011 – Present), is a former member of the Columbia Parks and Recreation Commission, The Columbia Police Foundation, The Boone County Sherriff’s Scholarship Committee, and numerous other local governmental and service organizations.
Mr. Richard Montgomery earned his bachelor’s degree in 1990 and his J.D. in 1993 from the University of Missouri. He was admitted to the Bar of the State of Missouri in 1993, and the Bar of the State of Illinois in 2012. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Boone County Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Committee, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, the Defense Research Institute, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, Hickman High School Dugout Club, Inc., is Vice President of Columbia Cobras Baseball, Inc., serves on the Board of Directors of Kids’ Chance of Missouri, Inc., and has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Heart of Missouri United Way.
